Paragliding.. is a MUST DO; again!

आयुष्यात अशा काही वेळा असतात जेव्हा "बाकी सगळं जग गेलं तेल लावत! मी चाललो..." हे implement करणं अगदी बरोबर ठरतं. आज असाच दिवस होता.

Thanks to आदिती मोघे, आजचा दिवस सगळ्या कटकटी विसरायला लावणारा, एक अविस्मरणीय दिवस ठरला. कामशेत जवळ Temple Pilots ह्या group बरोबर आज Paraglidingचा जो जबरदस्त अनुभव घेतला, त्याचेच काही photos:


मी आणि माझा pilot गणपत, ज्याने त्याच्या amazing expertiseच्या जोरावर मला एक जबरदस्त सफर घडवली. Glideचा काही काळ असा होता की वारा पडल्यामुळे आम्ही दरीत फक्त खाली-खाली जात होतो. तेव्हढ्यात काही tranches मधून वर येणार्या वार्याच्या जोरावर आम्ही इतकी काही height मिळवू शकलो की जवळच्या दूरदर्शनच्या मनोर्याला भोज्जा करून परत येता आलं :) (BTW कामशेतच्या घाटाच्या आधीपासून हा मनोरा फार दुरूनही दिसतो) मनोर्यासमोर जाता-जाता समोरून एक जेट विमान गेलं, इतकं की तेव्हा हातात कॅमेरा नसल्यामुळे झालेलं दुख्ख निव्वळ वर्णनातीत आहे. पण तरी एकंदरीत तुफ्फान मजा आली!



ह्या flightच location: पुणे - मुंबई Express wayच्या वर आणि कामशेतच्या बोगद्यापुढील दरीत, जिथे एकीकडे Express way तर दुसरीकडे रेल्वे track आहे :) It was such a splendid sight!



एक सुंदर सूर्यास्त, and an evening to remember :)



माझी glide झाल्यावर एका दीर्घ विलंबानंतर glideचा chance मिळाल्यावर आदितीला झालेला विशेष आनंद इथे जसाच्या तसा catch झालाय. पण हे सगळं arrange केल्याचा पूर्ण श्रेय केवळ तिलाच. एक SUPER-AWESOME experience मिळाला ! :)

Shooting Sakal Fireworks.. Wonderful experience

So, on 6th November I got a call from Kiran who suggested that we should go and get a piece of action of river-side fireworks arranged by Sakal group. So that evening we geared up with the cameras, a tripod and extra batteries; for an insanely long awesome experience.

Our 1st stop was at the foot-bridge at SNDT where we practiced the techniques of exposure, aperture, use of super macro mode etc.





Later when we reached Deccan we was astonished to see the huge volume of crowd that turned out to watch, click and video-shoot the event. There was no way we would get a nice place without any interference in front of the lenses, not on or under the Z-bridge and definitely not on the Bhide bridge (next to which they were lighting the firecrackers).
So we strolled on the river side road, looking for an ideal spot, walked back to the Lakadi bridge and reached the wall next to the river. Yes, this spot was splendid. And from there, this is what we shot:









Oh by the way.. there's also a 10 minutes video shot at my place which we seldom play on the big screen. The one shot for mainly those who lost the opportunity to attend this event. So all those who are interested can drop by to catch the action on the screen. Happy Diwali and Cheers!!!

New hobby

So, till now I was clicking with my old Sony camera and dad's wonderful Canon Powershot S5. It's beautiful and I clicked some pretty awesome photos, but only in the daytime. The night time photos were disaster, especially those of the full-moon!
Then came Diwali and Kiran, my friend who has got fair bit of knowledge about operating cameras and can click well, taught me how one can click well, with a normal camera. 2 consecutive days, Laxmi Poojan and the following Saturday were awesome! This particular snap above was clicked from the water-tower above the terrace at my place, i.e. from 9th floor.
This is where I was learning how to play with the aperture while giving more exposure and at the same time varying the ISO.
Overall experience was fun. I'm still learning and moreover, enjoying what I'm learning. This new found hobby's fantastic.

प्रेमावरची कविता...

लिहायला बसलो होतो प्रेमावरची कविता एक नाही दोन नाही दहा वेळा उठलो,
अस नाही की काही सुचत नव्हत ; पण गर्लफ्रेंड चा चार चार वेळा फ़ोन येत होता,
"काम करतोय, नंतर बोलू" म्हणायची पंचाईत! सुट्टीवर होतो,
आणि प्रेमावर कविता लिहितोय सांगून secret फोडायची नव्हती,
"हल्ली प्रेमावर बर्या कविता लिहितोयस !" ह्या टोमण्याला आम्ही साळसूदपणे उत्तर दिले
"असच काही नाही मैत्री वगैरेंवरपण लिहितोय.." अन प्रेमरथाचे तारु उधळले
अशा ह्या प्रेमाला सावरण्यात हा एवढा वेळ गेला
पण तरी प्रेमाची महती दोस्तहो सांगतो मी तुम्हाला
काय सांगू मित्रांनो प्रेम काय चीज असते, किंबहुना ;
सांगण्या पलिकडली अशी ती अनुभवायची गोष्ट असते
उशीरा भेटल्यावर करायची मिन्नतवारी असते
अन तिला उशीर झाल्यावर करायची ढीगभर काळजी असते
"काय करतोयस?"चे अचूक, स्मार्ट उत्तर देण्याची भलती ताराम्बळ असते
"Miss you" अन "Love you" ची सुखद झुळूक असते
तर , प्रामाणिक सल्ला आहे मित्रहो प्रेमात एकदा तरी पडून पहा
नाहीतर जा बघायला अनोळखी मुली अन खा पोहे प्या चहा!
